11th British Engineerium Classic
Motorcycle Run
Sunday 27th April 2008

9.00am - 3.00pm
Blatchington Mill School
Nevill Avenue, Hove BN3 7BW

Welcome back to Blatchington Mill!

We very much look forward to your company on the 2008 Classic Motorcycle Run! We keep our traditional "Engineerium" name for the Run, but it will be some time before the old steam museum re-opens. After last year's success in basing the event at Hove's Blatchington Mill School, we have decided to return there. The Sussex Mills Group is kindly offering free tours of West Blatchington Windmill to all entrants, their friends and families.

This time, as people arrive, we'll be selling bacon butties and other snacks with the usual free tea and coffee. As always we offer a very enjoyable ride through the glorious Sussex countryside with an easier route for older machines. Entry includes a route card, souvenir badge, programme and hot lunch. There will be a licensed bar and refreshments. There is ample free parking in the school grounds.

Last year, on our tenth run, we had an all-time record number of entries and lots of encouraging feedback from those who took part (for list of winners click here). As this is the key fund-raising event in our Rotary year, we hope to beat last year's record and be able to increase our ability to provide charitable help and support. We will be up-dating the site with news and background on the charities that we are supporting over the coming weeks.

Word of mouth is of course very important so do please tell friends and fellow enthusiasts to take a look at this website. We have created a gallery of photos of last year's event ... are you in there somewhere? Our thanks to professional motorcycle photographer Keith Fryer and to Rotary members for the use of their pictures.
